The Entrepreneur’s Vault
I’ve spent over two years running my startup in Obsidian and building this template: refining the structure, testing automations and figuring out what actually makes a difference. Now you don’t need to lose time to designing, trial and error and over-engineering. Instead, you can get on with the things that matter.

What it is
The Entrepreneur’s Vault is a ready-to-use Obsidian template designed for early-stage founders and small business owners who want one place to organise the work of running and growing their business.
I’ve spent over two years running my startup in Obsidian – refining the structure, testing automations and figuring out what actually makes a difference.
This is the Obsidian vault I wish I’d had on day one of being an entrepreneur: a practical system built around the realities of running a business, rather than a collection of features you’ll spend months figuring out.
I built it through trial and error. You don’t need to.
Inside the vault
01
Hubs
The functional parts of your business - Product, Marketing, Fundraising, Ops. Each with a dashboard, templates and capture buttons.
02
Deliverables
Short-term work with a real outcome. Commit one and it gets its own folder, dashboard and queries.
03
A backlog that scores itself
Dump everything. Each item gets impact, urgency and time, and comes back as a priority score you can filter on.
04
Dashboards that stay connected
Make notes from the dashboard buttons and the links, metadata and queries look after themselves.
05
Automated archive
One command tags it, moves it, prefixes the filename and keeps the folder structure. Hidden, not lost.

Your daily note: today's priority, your commands, your hubs and the project that's up next

Who this is not for
I would rather you skip it than buy the wrong thing.
You've never opened Obsidian
Obsidian is not like other apps. You work in markdown (.md) format - and can toggle between page and raw code
You are scared to write queries
You can filter anything you set as ::metadata - but queries are written as a code block. There are plenty of examples, but to make your own you'll need to lean in
You want to be chased
Nothing here sends a notification. The vault shows you your priorities; it doesn't nag you into doing them. You can of course link another to do app if you want that.
You need more than ten people editing at once
It works for small business owners, early-stage founders, and for a small team on a self-synced folder. The sync is only as good as the one you use.
